ENGLISH VERSION
Thai, thai, thai chicken…no, it’s not a song!
Everyone knows that sometimes “strange is better”; always cooking the same things, always in the same way, is so boring. These experiments break the routine of our meals and I think they’re worth making even if it’s just so we don’t “become ugly” in the kitchen. I’m not guaranteeing first class honors, not this time, even though we did have lots of fun with chopsticks and, after many attempts, even the noodles and broccoli ended up being eaten, maybe more thanks to the game that chopsticks offer, seeing who was better at using them, than thanks to the taste of this meal where all the vegetables are within sight.
Of course a lot depends on the moment you choose to serve it: a special evening dedicated to oriental food, showing your children photos of Chinese and Japanese children eating from a bowl with this strange cutlery, or reminding them that also kung fu panda ate these things and, thanks to this kind of food, was able to make all those moves. Well, I’m sure you might be surprised by the unusual interest your little ones will have in trying these rice noodles with Thai chicken and broccoli. Get them to help you make this recipe, maybe to surprise dad who, when he’ll get back home tired and hungry expecting to sit down at a table and all the food being ready and served, will have to (as ours did) keep working to show once more that he’s capable and use the chopsticks to eat this lovely plate of noodles…or shall we give him a knife and fork? – Do you want a fork, Roberto, you are tired after all!-
